- the earliest Cornish baptismal record in Poughill Ccrnwall is for a Phillip Cornish on 24 NOV 1633 (son of Alexander and Phillip. Cornish)- too late for this Phillip unless he was baptised as a teen or adult.
On 20 Jun 1638 when Phillip was 18, he married Mary GYSTE OR GIST, daughter of Thomas GIST (ca1590-) & Maria (ca1590-), in Poughill, Cornwall, England. Born in 1615 in Poughill, Cornwall, England. Christened on 9 Apr 1615 in Poughill, Cornwall, England.
