Edward migrated to NSW Australia as a Bounty Immigrant in 1839.
He was 33 yrs old, and left "Bride" Sussex with his wife, Eliza/Elizabeth of Ewhurst also 33 yrs, and their children Thomas b C1833, Ellen b. C 1827, and Ester b. C 1836.
They embarked 20th October 1838 from Gravesend in "Juliana", but the ship was wrecked at Green's Point, Table Bay, Cape of Good Hope on 19th January 1839. 50 passengers stayed in the Cape, but Edward and Eliza/Elizabeth re-embarked in "Morayshire" and arrived NSW 20th May 1839.
Next found living in the Maitland District NSW, where they had two more children.

From other researhers:
- There are two little Proctors born Maitland NSW [AU] to Edward Richardson, agriculturalist from Bride Sussex, (b. C1806) and his wife Elisa, servant, born Ewhurst Sussex who migrated in 1838 arriving in 1839. Both died in infancy, but the name jumped off the page to me, and that took me to another Richardson family who ended up in the colonies. Edward brought three of his children (Thomas, Ellen, & Ester) with him, so the two little Proctors born and died here were a very late family.

RESEARCH NOTES:
- An Edward and Elizabeth Richardson are listed in the Brede Baptism transcripts, listing 5 children baptised between 1827 and 1833 - could be this Edward.
Children were (from another researcher): Mary (29 Mar 1829), Eliza (21 Nov 1830), George (11 Mar 1832), Thomas (4 Sep 1833), Ester (25 Dec 1935). Edward lised as a labourer.
