“Harry Richardson, father of W Edwin Richardson, was a carpenter by trade and a staunch trustee of the Episcopal Methodist Church, which built the present Salvation Army Barracks. When the union was effected with the Wesleyan Methodists, Harry Richardson, David Urquhart and Charles Ganton, were elected on the Board of Trustees of the Canada Methodist Church, which had but recently been built on Main Street.
Harry Richardson married Miss Maria Pearson, daughter of the late Peter Pearson, grandfather of Mr. P.W. Pearson of Newmarket.”
