- 5 Apr 1786, Marhamchurch, James Honey of Stratton (mark) and Elizabeth Moore of Marhamchurch (mark) by banns, witnessed by Christopher Bounsall, Junr and Charles Lark [*** likely this one due to location - also Charles Lark would be a relative - uncle of the groom]
- 26 Mar 1792, Morwenstow, James Honey of Northam, bachelor and Susanna Hambly otp, by banns

From another researcher
- I had James (s/o John and Grace) marrying Elizabeth Moore in 1786 in Marhamchurch, but only two children - John and Mary, both bp in Marhamchurch.   I found 3 other children of a James and Elizabeth Honey all bp around this time, but in Lawhitton, about 20 miles away - Grace bp 1790, Mary Ann bp Jan 1795 and James bp 1796.  I found no other James and Elizabeth marrying from 1750 to 1800, so it is likely that this is one family, but  that's tentative.  Mary Ann died Mar 1795, so it is possible her name was reused for Mary bp in Sept of the same year in Marhamchurch.  For me the interesting question is, if this is the same family, why were they moving between Marhamchurch and Lawhitton?
On 5 Apr 1786 when James was 26, he married Elizabeth MOORE in Marhamchurch, Cornwall, England. Born ca 1760.
They had the following children:
268i.
John HONEY (1787-)
269ii.
Mary HONEY (1795-)
270iii.
Grace HONEY (1799-)
141. Grace HONEY (Grace CORNISH5, Gideon4, Gideon3, Phillip2, John1). Born in 1763 in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England. Christened on 24 May 1763 in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England. Buried on 5 Aug 1790 in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England.

- 1763 baptism: Day Month 24-May
Year 1763
Parish Or Reg District Bridgerule
Forename Grace
Surname HONEY
Sex d/o
Father Forename John
Mother Forename Grace

RESEARCH NOTES
From another researcher:
- Thomas PALMER married Grace HONEY 23rd November 1789. This couple have 8 children, including second child John.
[I cannot find their children in OPC database or on family search, although there is a Thomas and Grace Palmer having children in the next generation - 1817 to 1836 - in North Hill Cornwall]

Possible marriages:
- 23 Nov 1789, Bridgerule, Thomas Palmer, sojourner (mark) and Grace Honey otp (mark) by banns, witnessed by Thomas Palmer and John Cornish
- 01 Jan 1813, Bridgerule, Henry Oldvert otp (signed) and Grace Honey otp (mark) by banns, witnessed by Thomas Olver and Thomas Honey and Saml Cornish, with consent of parents on both sides [implying they were under age, so not this Grace]

Another souce has her listed as being buried in 1790, and Thomas remarrying a Mary (c1763-1847), thereby saying Grace was not the mother of the children. [I can’t find this 2nd marriage in the online Cornwall OPC database, but I did find children’s baptisms for parents Thomas and Mary
1793 Oct 7 - Grace
1796 Feb 25 - Thomas
1798 Feb 17 - John
1800 Aug 24 - James Godfrey
1803 Mar 27 - Charles
1804 Jul 1 - William
1808 Oct 16 - Sarah
1815 Oct 8 - Maria, residence "Bounds", laborer]

There are 3 burials for Grace Palmer in Bridgerule Cornwall in this time frame:
1788 - 31 Oct, daughter of John Palmer [this imust be a difference Grace as our Grace married in 1789 and wasn’t yet dead, or a Palmer]
1790 - 1 Aug, (no age, residence or notes) [most likely, if she died a year after her marriage]
1835 - 5 Mar, age 36, residence Marhamchurch [born abt 1799 so the wrong generation]
On 23 Nov 1789 when Grace was 26, she married Thomas PALMER in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England. Born ca 1760. Thomas died in Bridgerule, Cornwall, England, on 14 Jul 1839; he was 79.

RESEARCH NOTES
Unless there was another Thomas Palmer living in Bridgerule at the same time, or unless Grace's other name was Mary and it was a different Grace who died in 1790, it seems likely that he married twice (although I can’t find a record of his second marriage in Cornwall) and Mary is listed the mother of Thomas’s 8 children.

A slight possibility: If Thomas and Mary married in Devon, this might be their marriage (less than 2 months before their 1st child was baptised)
